Touring Tagaytay with the Byers and Aunt Veny

Aunt Dolly and Uncle Lou toured us around Batanes when Bee and I were there.  In return, Bee and I offered to tour them and Aunt Veny around Tagaytay.

We hired a van with a driver from one of Bee's friends.  Bee picked our three guests from their hotel in Manila then they picked up Jon and I along South Super Highway.

First stop was the Ilog Maria Honeybee Farms which is owned by a distant relative of Bee's.  There was a short video presentation about Bee Farming and about the corporation itself.  Afterwards, we bought some products.  Unfortunately, they were out of honey since the bees haven't been productive lately.

Next stop was The Flower Farm.  We didn't schedule a tour but they were kind enough to squeeze us in before another tour group arrives.  It was fun listening to Aunt Veny and Aunt Dolly point out which plants they have or used to have in their respective gardens.  Uncle Lou was interested in fertilizers.

Last stop, where Bee and I treated everyone for a buffet lunch, was Taal Vista Hotel.  They were full that they had to set up extra tables at the lounge area.  Bee used to work there and we were able to get a table.   Took some pictures of Taal Lake afterwards.  I think I saw Rachel Rillo, but I'm not sure.  Even if it was her, the last time we talked was in 6th grade, so I don't even know if she remembers me.

2009 Batanes Trip - Day 5: April 25

The van was full when Uncle Lou, Aunt Dolly and Aunt Veny brought Bee, Sam's mom, Sam and I to the airport.  Aunt Fe and her sister Aunt Pacing met us at the airport to say goodbye.  Aunt Fe brought some garlic for me to bring home, as well as Aryes tree seedlings, which my mom requested.  I ended up having three bags of garlic - one from Aunt Zita, one from Aunt Fe, and one which I bought from the market yesterday.  Aunt Dolly thought I was crazy to ask garlic from two aunts and still buy some from the market.  Well...to be honest, I wasn't sure if those aunts would give me garlic to bring home. Ha ha ha!

Met four classmates of my mom at the airport.  I ended up calling my mom from my cellphone just so she could talk to them.

I must bring mom back here just so she could reconnect with family and relatives.
